The Wildlife Hazard Management Plan: Development and Implementation Assistance (in accordance with the Order of 30 April 2014 of the French Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy in relation to wildlife hazard management at airports).
Description
The course is aimed at wildlife hazard management (WHM) management staff at French airports who have to manage operational personnel in relation to WHM. The course covers the concepts of wildlife management, studies to be performed, procedures and directives to be applied.
The course lasts two days. The first day consists of theory and the second is a practical workshop. This course design enables airport management to benefit immediately from specialist advice for their WHMP (Wildlife Hazard Management Plan). If necessary a third day can be added.
General and Specific Objectives
Review of legislation and airport WHM responsibilities.
Develop a methodology for implementing a wildlife management plan.
Draw up and implement WHM procedures, directives and obtaining feedback.
Define the wildlife hazard at the airport.
Define tools for continuous improvement and continuous wildlife hazard analysis.
Skills Acquired
Participants develop and fine tune their knowledge of wildlife hazard management and of applicable legislation. Immediate implementation in a workshop setting enables participants to immediately obtain a return on the skills they have invested in.
Professional Context
Participants will hold a safety or WHM management position at a French airport.
Prerequisites
Active as an executive responsible for controlling wildlife hazards at a French airport.
