Name of Training Course
Training in inspecting aircraft movement areas

Description
The one-day course “Inspecting aircraft movement areas” is aimed at personnel in charge of inspecting runways, aprons and taxiways.

Visual inspection of the runway is a legal requirement stipulated in airport safety management systems. It is very important for ensuring aircraft safety during landing and takeoff. Remember what happened to Concorde.

In principle runway and fire service personnel are trained to inspect the runway from a procedural perspective. But personnel still have a large number of questions such as the minimum size of object to be considered as FOD (Foreign Object Debris) and the consequences which not removing it could have for the integrity of an aircraft.

Nowadays, the very high utilisation rate of runways means inspections must be performed as quickly as possible but with 100% effectiveness.

Our course is practical and teaches practical skills to be applied while performing an inspection.
