Name of Training Course
Business Continuity Plan

Description
Implementation of a Business Continuity Plan minimises the risks caused by a flu epidemic, natural disasters, illegal acts or particular events in terms of employee health and safety, operational continuity and to limit the financial impact of any break in operations.

It is essential to plan for continuity of operations against any risks which could threaten the viability of a business. In the event of a major disaster, any business could be affected. In addition to the threat to human health, the economic fallout of a disaster including absenteeism from work or upstream effects of a supply chain interruption and travel disruption could be considerable and widespread.

All companies must take immediate steps to draw up continuity plans to protect their employees, limit stoppages and the negative effects on their customers and partners. Businesses providing essential infrastructure services must plan for operational continuity in the event of a disaster. In some cases even if it is impossible to prevent a disaster, good preparation can limit the impact.
